About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Does he require a transit visa?

My son's flight is from Manila to Lewisburg, Greenbreier West Virginia USA in transit at Pudong, Shanghai staying less than 24hours.

No, he doesn't need it, the 24-hour free transit policy is available.
