About:Hong Kong Visa Application

I am studying Medicine at ZUSM, Hangzhou. My visa for Hong Kong has expired.

Will I need to apply for transit type even though I use Dragon Air to go home during summer holidays in July. Is it risky to send passport by mail to Beijing for HK transit entry permit and how much does it cost?

Yes, you need to apply for the HK transit permit. I suggest you consult with the HKSAR Beijing office for whether it accepts mailed application by dialing (8610) 6657 2880 before you post the application documents. The permit costs 100 HK dollars.
