About:Qingdao Travel

I moved to Huangdao District and need to find cheapest way to ShiNan District.

By bus it takes around 3hours! How much time can I save with a taxi cab and what is a fair price?

Are there any places in Huangdao District with foreigners/ expats around (Language schools, bars, malls, etc.,)?

It is around 30km between the two districts and the bus may run around 2h, not 3h. And both of the districts cover a large area. Without knowing your exact location, I can just tell you the general suggestion:
take a ferry from Huangdao to QD Wharf in 15min. There you can transfer to bus no. 321 to Shinan District (CNY2). Actually, the bus will pass many areas of the district. If taking taxi, the driver may charge CNY100-150 for a single trip.

I have no idea of the foreign expats in Huangdao, but near the Wusi Square in Shinan District, you can find some foreign people. You can also meet some in Starbucks.

You can take the bus number "隧道1" to arrive at "Qingdao Train station" and transfer Bus# 321 /316/26 to get ShiNan district.
