About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Buying a multi-ticket trip. Will I still qualify for this 72 hour visa?

SFO -> MNL
MNL -> PEK
PEK -> SFO

Robert, I think your route is ok for 72 hours free transit because you fly from and fly to two different places in different countries.
