Is true that those that died building the wall had their remains buried in the wall?

Taibat, I also heard about this. But I got no historical record when I searched on the internet. All I found was some legends. Do you know Mengjiangnv? Her husband was caught and sent to build the wall. She finally found the construction site where her husband worked. However, she was told that her husband was already dead and buried under the wall when she arrived. Then she cried heartbrokenly. Eventually, the wall collapsed.
Perhaps, people learnt from this story that those who built the wall were buried under the wall.10
