About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

my husband has a job offer in chongqing airport. can his family visit/live with him?

is there a required amount of salary for the sponsor of visa?
what are the documents we need to prepare?
how many days is the maximum allowed for tourist type?
if my husband will have a Z type can we live with him in that city? thank you.

Rizabeth, I personally think you should apply for S type rather than L type. The L type usually has 30 days duration of stay. However, S types have longer duration of stay (S2 less than 180 days and S1 is more than 180 days).

After he acquires the Z type, he can send you the invitation letter, copies of his passport information page and his resident permit. For you, you should provide the kinship certificate (marriage certificate and birth certificate). The salary amount isn't required. However, if you got the S1 type, your duration of stay actually has something to do with your husband's salary. If he earns more, then you can gain longer period of stay.

Thanks for your immediate answer. The information you gave is very helpful. I have one more concern, what if we are not yet legally married? our children carries his name as he acknowledge them. Can I still apply for S1/ S2 with him as my sponsor?

You still have the chance to get the S type, but not you are not definitely to obtain it.
