About:Chinese Consulate in New York

My passport will expire on 9/1/2015. Can I still apply for visa?

I have an invitation letter from our Company partner in Beijing.

No, the remaining validity of your passport is less than six months, so you can’t use it to apply for the Chinese entry permit. You have to renew your passport before doing the application.
