About:China Train

Under the new regulations - If I dissemble my bike can I take it on a rail in China?

I heard that the new regulations ban bikes on trains unless they are disassembled and put in a bag. Is this true? I want to travel throughout Qinghai and Gansu province China with my bike in June - will I be able to without paying an extra fee? My bike is very light - less than 10kg and can be easily dissembled and placed in a bag which meets the requirements for on-board travel on China rail.

Thank you!

According to my search online, it seems that even the foldable bike cannot be arranged in the carriage based on the new policy. But it can go as a checked luggage.
