Changsha railway to South railway station

Is there a subway between these two stations? And If yes how far is the entrance to the subway from CS Railway?
I have a train that leave from south station 50 minutes after I arrive in the main station.

Yes, you can take the subway line 2 from the railway station to South Railway Station directly. Take the Exit 1. It is about 7 miles between these two stations. And the travel time is about 25 mins around. While taking a taxi may be a bit faster, about CNY15 – 18 mins.

Your time may be not enough, for it takes some time to get out of the station and go through the security check in line. Do you wanna take the risk?
