Should your ears be showing in your Chinese Visa photo?

I recently got told that my ears need to be showing in your picture, however I just got mine and they aren't. Are they strict about the photo requirements?

Gina, it is required that you ears cannot be covered in the photo. If it's covered, the photo is not qualified. You had better take another photo and make sure it fulfills all the requirements.
