About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Stand by passenger from PVG to SFO. Am I still qualified for the 72 hour visa?

I am flying from Narita to Shanghai. 48 hours later I wan to take a flight from Shanghai to San Francisco. I will be flying on a stand by status from PVG to SFO.

Sorry, the standby tickets are not acceptable by the free transit policy, so I'm afraid you are not qualified for it.
