Applying for a Chinese Tourist Visa (I'm an Irish Citizen)

Hi, I need some info on applying for a L type, ideally I would like to be their for 2 months, is this possible?

Do I have to book ALL of my accommodation before I leave? For the Itinerary do I have to stick rigidly to this or can i divert from it when I get there? When is the entry permit activated from? Thank you in advance

Well, you don't have to book all accommodation before you go. Just 2/3 part of your itinerary is ok. Of course, return air ticket is required. It's ok for you to revise your itinerary when you arrive. Your entry permit is activitated from 00:00 of next day when you arrive.
