About:Jiankou Great Wall

Bus 916 schedule

Hi, i would like to hike from jiankou to mutianyu. I understand I must go early,but it is said here the bus 916 from dongzhimen runs from 10.00 only(+2 hr travel time)? Is it so or did I understand something wrong? If it is I'm afraid I won't make the hike in time to get on a bus leaving mutianyu back to beijing, right?

No, it is not true. Bus no. 916 is in service from 06:00 to 21:00. Take thagt at Dongzhimen and you can get off at Huairou North Street bus stop. Then take a taxi to JK Wall and go for a hike to Mutianyu.

Hi I am hoping to do the same trip. Can you tell me how long it took you and approximately how long it will take to travel up the mountain to the wall?

Enid, it takes one hour from Dongzhimen to Huairou North Street and then 30 minutes to reach the wall. It takes around 2 hours to reach No.18 tower.
