do i need my expired passport and new one with application for a business visa?

Randy, if you are not Chinese-American, you only need to submit your current passport.0

Actually if you have previously had an entry permit to China but it's on your expired passport then yes you should. I believe they want copies of the last one you were granted. but I can't remember if it's only the very last one or a few of them. It might be just for a Z (work) type that they need this, but it's much better to have it and not need it then to NEED it and not have it.0
