About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

It sounds like shanghai qualify for 72 hour free visa. Do you think way back via HK needs anything?

Hello, I'm US citizen flying to Shanghai for 60 hours then going to Bangkok from there. My return flight has connection in Hong Kong on same ticket one hour layover.

Hi, Coleen! You can enjoy the 72hrs free transit on both ways. On your way back, the layover in HK will not invalidate the free transit.
