Jobie, I should say it's very difficult to acquire one with a 60-day duration of stay. Most people just receive one with a duration stay of 30 days. But it won't be a big problem. Even you just acquire 30 days duration of stay, you still can visit local entry and exit management bureau to extend for another month. You should submit your extension at least 7 days before your current one

I have before (like two years ago) very easily obtained 60 days L type, I just showed my flight tickets. Have the regulations been changed?

Well, I'm not sure about it. You know, the regulations in this aspect constantly change. Nowadays, you cannot apply for the L type by only showing your flight tickets. The hotel reservations or an invitation letter from someone in mainland is also required. But you can still apply for the two-month stay duration.
