About:Li River

Start Guilin - raft to Xingping - Bus to Yangshuo

Hi. I will be in Guilin in October this year and would like to take a raft cruise on the Li River to Xingping. Then get a bus to Yangshuo and stay there for the night. I am backpacking and I would like to know if I would be able to bring my backpack on the cruise (carry-on luggage size) so I wouldn't need to return to Guilin.

But what exactly do you refer to, raft or cruise on the river? For the former, you can take a bus from Guilin Railway Station to Yangdi Lukou. There you can catch a raft to Xingping. Luggage is allowed to get onto the raft. There is no exact limitation, but it should not be too large, or the raft cannot load that.

If for the cruise, it directly heads to Yangshuo without any stop on the way. Generally, all your luggages are allowed to take aboard, no matter how large your suitcases are.
