About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Where to buy a 3G sim in Guangzhou and want to use in Bejing also?

Hello All,

Please help me to suggest:
1) Where can I buy a 3G sim for my iPhone 6+ ?
2) Is it available in the international airport?
3) I will stay 11 days in the two cities? Which package do i need to buy mostly to check my email and Facebook, any suggestion?
4) May I use that sim in both the cities ?
5) What kind of document I need to carry to take the sim?
6) Can I check my gmail account with the SIM? I heard that Gmail is not working in China, is it?

First of all, you should make it clear which carrier does your mobile phone suits. Is it China Mobile, China Unicom or China Telecom? Once making it clear, you can go to any service center/office of the carrier in the city to get a SIM card. At arrival hall of the airport, you can also get one in a convenient shop.

The SIM card can be used in both cities, but I’m afraid the Facebook doesn’t work in China. Gmail sometimes works well, but sometimes not.

To save money, you are suggested to get the packages of domestic long distance calls with enough internet access.
