Working and bringing a pet on a student visa

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew the process for being allowed to work to support your studies. Also can I bring my dog with me while on a X type?

Shawna, you can only do part-time job to support your study with the permission of your school. Also you need to have an endorsement on your passport at the local entry and exit management bureau. You should bear in mind that students can do jobs as those who have Z type permits.

May I know what you are going to take as your pet? You know, some animals are not allowed to enter. For ordinary animals like dogs, you can take it in if you have all required procedure. By the way, if you live in the dorm in the school, you'd better confirm with your school whether it is allowed to keep a pet. It doesn't matter if you rent an apartment on your own.

My husband and I have decided it is best to find a temporary home for our little dog while we are in Beijing. He is Chinese and in Beijing now, but I am in Canada. I have found a good friend to look after our dog. It is good to know that I can have a part time job to support my studies. I will make sure to get the proper paperwork asap.
