Applying for a tourist visa from Darwin NT

Hi there,
I am looking into visiting China from Darwin and was wondering in order to obtain one, can i apply online or will I, at some stage have to visit the Chinese embassy in person for an interview? There is no embassy in Darwin.
Thanks,
Derena.

Derena, sorry, online application service is not available. However, you don’t need to go to the embassy in person and the interview is not required in general. You can mail your application to the CVASC office in Canberra. The postal address is P.O. BOX 1862, Canberra, ACT 2601.
