About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

i wondered if it was possible to leave Guangzhou to hong kong for a few days.

Im a British Citizen with permenant residency in New Zealand. im leaving to the UK in may and stopping off to guangzhou on my return. i have a week until my flight leaves. does it renew if i leave hk back into mainland China?

Since your stay in Guangzhou is more than 72 hours, you should apply for an entry permit. And you plan to visit HK and then get back to take flight back to New Zealand. In this case, you should apply for a double entry one in advance from the CVASC center in UK.
