About:How to Apply for a China Visa

my residence permit will expire on 28 sep 2015. Can i apply for X1 visa if i am already in PRC

I have got admission in China in another university and i have to register in the new university on 5 september 2015 but my residence permit will expire on 28 september 2015. Can i apply for X1 type if i am already in china

Abdur, as you have already got the residence permit, so would you mind telling me what type is your previous entry permit? Is it an X type too?
