Getting a 30-day tourist visa in Thailand

I have a Z type from China that will expire on June 30th, 2015. I would like to stay through July 20th to travel after my work contract expires. Would it be possible to apply for a 30-day tourist one in Thailand if I only have a one-way ticket back to China, my residency permit in Suzhou, and a return ticket to the United States?
