About:China Visa on Arrival

Urgent Travel to China - Query

I do have an urgent travel to China on 14 April 2015 for a business critical training in Shanghai.

Could you please let me know if I could obtain a visa on arrival.

I do have a valid Canadian passport,

If I am able to obtain a VOA, what are the required documents from my side.

If not, could you please notify me on the other options such as travel entry permit, and what are documents needed to proceed with the application, and what is the usual processing time, as well.

Sheena, under normal circumstances, the VOA is not available, so you had better apply for an M type entry permit right now.

The normal process takes four working days. If you use express service, the process will be shortened to two or three working days, so I think you have enough time to do the application. Please prepare the following documents in advance: a valid passport, a copy of your passport’s photo page, a filled-out application form attached with your recently-taken color bare-head photo, the original and photocopy of your residence permit in Qatar, and an invitation letter from the business partner in Shanghai.
