Is it necessary to show Medical insurance for getting visa for short term visit in Spain?

As Spain is included in the Schengen countries, you need to get a Schengen entry permit to enter this country. To apply for the entry permit, a medical insurance covering all Schengen countries and the whole stay period shall be required. So you need to prepare it in advance.
