French citizen applying in Japan but arriving from Canada

Hello. I am in Tokyo as a tourist but I live in France. I have to go to Canada for a week but I would like to apply for a chinese visa in Tokyo. Is it possible, even if I'll arrive from another country (that is to say Canada). Thank you very much, I'm desperate.

Tibo, which type you are going to apply? If for a L type, you need to submit your applications to a qualified local travel agency to help with your application. Don't forget to submit copies of your entry records to Japan. For other types, you need to apply from the Chinese consulate on your own.
