Is there any way to get from Yingde City to HongKong without getting back to Qingyuan? e.g. any direct bus or trains?

There is no direct transportation between. If wishing not go back to QY, I suggest you take a train from Yingde to Guangzhou first, and then take aThrough Train to Hong Kong. You can take high speed train from Yingde Station to Guangzhou South. Transfer to subway line 2 to Gongyuanqian, and transfer to line 1 to Guangzhou East Station. There you can take a direct train to Hung Hom, HK.

Yes, there are direct buses. You can take it from Austin, Hung Hom and Shatin. There are five bus departing at 07:15, 09:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00.
