luggage at station

Question

What is the difference between left luggage storage and luggage locker? I am about to arrive in Shanghai at 7.00 in the morning. And at 19.00 I will leave for Huangshan by rail. Can you suggest me, where can I put my luggage, so I can spend the day sightseeing at Shanghai before leaving for Huangshan.

No difference. You can left your luggage in the station. There are usually left luggage set up officially by the authority which is safer. You can try to find it round the exit.
