Yes, it is possible. Most attractions as well as subway stations in the city have both Chinese and English signages for your convenience. In case of any problems, you'd better make a good preparation in advance, with the directions, dining and transportation. And to take a taxi, you'd better show the Chinese characters of your destination.1
