yuanyang in one day from kunming

Hello everybody, i arrive at Kunming at 11:40AM and i have to come back to Kunming next day at afternoon to take bus or train to Lijiang, you think it possible to visit some rice terraces scenic área taking public buses?thank you very much for your help

The distance is about 221 miles (356 kilometers). And the bus journey takes about 6.5 hours to reach. There are three buses from The South Bus Station, they run at 10:20, 12:30, and 18:30. Even if you can catch the 12:30 bus, when you arrive in YY it would be around 19:00. It would be already dark or nearly dark there. It would be hard for you to go back in the next day’s afternoon. So you are suggested to give up YY plan in your route; or carve more time to it.
