memory booster pill. are these allowed?

my friend ask me to bring a memory booster herbal pill from philippines to US and i am transiting in China. she said it does not need any prescription, but just want to make sure before i bring it.

Jav, is it OTC or prescribed drug? If it is OTC drug, then I think you may bring it without prescription. And you should understand whether it contains any prohibited element, morphine, for example. If you are unsure, I think you'd better ask your doctor to give you a prescription.
