Question

I am 51 years old having good health. Suffering from mild hypertension,What are the risks traveling to Mount Kailash by a Bush or By a Bike? I don't want to travel in a group,Is there any facility to travel mt. Kailash from Nyalam by bus or by SUV?

Due to the sever environment, you'd better find a travel companion. And I prefer traveling by SUV. BTW, foreigners are not allowed to travel along in Tibet. They must join groups organized by agencies. Sorry for that.

I'm wondering what kind of transportation available from Zhangmu to Mt.Kailash . Do I have prearrange ahead of time or available on arrival at the border? Prearrang with group is costing around $ 2ooo. Is it will be cheaper if I catch the bus from Zhangmu to Mt. Kailash?

Why aren't foreigners allowed to travel alone in Tibet. They used to be completely free to travel wherever they want.
