According to the rule, you are required to apply for a Transit type even though you don't step out of the airport. You should post all your documents to HK Immigration Department directly. It takes four to six weeks to deal with your application.

May I know your purpose of visiting HK, for a trip or something else? Because the requirements vary according to your visiting purpose.

Hi , actually my employer is sponsoring my trip to hk. Since we r going to canada so on the way we will be stopping ins honking for 2 days. I look after their 2 year old son. So that will be incurring all the expenses on my behalf. So I am going with their family.
