About:China Tourist Visa

Can i apply for a tourist visa ? Is this a problem?

I am currently in china on a Z type. My boss will cancel it on the 6 of April.

Jim, after your boss cancel your work permit, the local labor bureau will give a certificate of the cancellation. Then with this certificate, you can go to the Exit and Entry Administration to cancel your residence permit. The officer there will then post a new one-month tourist L type on your passport.
