About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

Multiple Entries. My partner is going to be moving to China.

We are not yet married. Can I apply for the multiple entry tourism visa (12 months) and go to China and stay for the maximum length of time (is it 2 months) fly home for a few weeks and come back again? Can I do this as many times as I like or this illegal for Chinese authorities?

Hello Fiona, as long as you can secure the one year multiple-entry L type permit, you can travel to China as many times as you like. However, you should keep a good record for your behaviour in China. Otherwise, the officer may have a reason to cancel your L type or reject your entry. You are right, the maximum stay duration of multi-entry L type is normally two months.

Hi Alex thanks for clearing that up. When you say good behaviour do you mean obey the Chinese laws or that you did not recommend travelling in and out the way I have mentioned. Thanks!

Yes, you should behave yourself and never break any law or regulation when you are in mainland.
