About:China Private Visit Visa

partner of artist coming to beijing for residency

i am the long term partner of an artist who is coming to china to take up a position in an artist residency in beijing. i would like to join him and seek employment. i am an architect. do you have any idea which visa i would apply for? do we need to be married?

Lauren, if you want to work in China, you should apply for a Z type entry permit. To apply for this type, you do not need to get married with your partner.
