About:Year of the Rabbit

Will my career advance this year? Should I stay in the same dept or go to another dept?

I have achieved some recognition for doing the difficult tasks in my current and they have given me responsibilities but it is not what I love to do. There have been many challenges with new management and lack of direction and or having to prove myself after many accomplishments. Now I have the opportunity to go to another department (dept) however my current role will bring some new opportunities and responsibilities that may be rewarding. I have a great boss but the higher management is still a challenge. Should I stay or should I just take a leap of faith and go elsewhere and make a fresh start with renewed confidence. Which is a better short and long term prospect for me. I was born in Hong Kong, Jan 4, 1967. DEE from Canada.

Well, it seems a dilemma for you. If you really don’t like the role you played in the current position, maybe a change is better for you. Considering from a long term prospect, if you don’t like it, it would be hard for you to make a real difference in the field. So, just be decisive and take your chance. Wish you be good.
