About:Shaolin Temple

How to get to Song Shan / Shaolin Temple from Luoyang?

My current trip has my group going from Xi'An to Luoyang to see the grottoes, how would I get to the temple and Song Shan from Luoyang? Or must I go to Zhengzhou?

No, it's not necessary for you to go to Zhengzhou.
You can take long-distance bus at Luoyang Bus Station, and get off at Dengfeng Bus Station. The departure times are from 05:20 to 15:30 every half an hour. The fare is CNY 24 per adult. After arrival, take a taxi to the temple & the mountain directly.
