change of tourist visa to X type

Renne, since you are not in China now, the L type cannot be changed to X type. You can only change the L type into X type after you enter China, but there is not that big chance for you to do this sucessfully. Therefore, I suggest you apply for an X type in your country after you are admitted by the university. Once you get the X type, your L type will expire automatically.
