international calls

I am planning to buy a unicom prepaid sim card.
I don't want to call a foreign number cause it is expensive. Therefore, can I receive calls from abroad? What I have to do in order to receive calls from abroad?

For your demand, I recommend the 3G SIM card of Budget Roam operated by China Unicom. It has low roaming fee and charges little for call. With this card, you don't need to apply for any service and the international calling from/to abroad is available. Considering all, this may be the best choice for you. For more info, you'd better search online.

I am planning to buy a prepaid sim card unicom PLAN A 66yuan..Is that what you mean with "3G SIM card of Budget Roam"?
So, in order to receive calls or text messages from abroad, if I have this plan a 66yuan, I do not need to activate any code, right?

Cecilia, it isn't the cheapest one. There is a plan that just costs CNY46. I checked and found that Plan A that costs for CNY 66 is 3G sim card. But I still suggest you call 10010 to confirm this. By the way, you need to open international call function if you plan to use it abroad. As for text messages, you needn't activate it. However, the cost is a bit higher, about CNY 1 for a text message.
