Marrying Expats

i am an english Man Working on a Z visa in China and i would like to Marry an english national who is on a student type. we are both in china. can we marry here and change her student type to a S1 without leaving the country?

Hi Peter! If your girlfriend is a student from a technical secondary school or a colleage, or she is studying for a bachelor's degree, you cannot marry her. Only if she is an advanced student or postgraduate, can you get married with her. After you ger married, it's possible to change her X type to a S1 type at the local Exit and Entry Administration Division of Public Security Bureau.

My fiancee is is 27 she has a degree and is an advanced student studying mandarin, thanks for your help.
