is there a direct bus from yichang to zhangjiajie after 2pm?

Arriving YC city from cruise about 1pm June 9th 2015. Want to get to Zhangjiajie. Have heard I can take a taxi, but as a solo traveller this seems expensive. Is there a direct bus that won't be too complicated for a non-Mandarin speaker to catch? When does it leave, where from and how long does it take?

I heard direct buses to Zhangjiajie are available at YC Long-distance Bus Station and they are all buses departing from Wuhan, so the schedule is not fixed. For further info, I suggest you go to the Bus Station to consult further. Or you have to take a train to go. Due to your time,  the train leaving at 01:05am (in the next morning) is suitable. It takes about 4 hours 40 minutes to reach. The ticket price for soft sleeper is CNY135.5, for hard sleeper is CNY89.5.
