Chinese entry permit

We arrive at China 13 July, leave 27 July. We leave NZ 17 April and travel UK and Europe. We applied for a 3 month visa but have been told that we fall outside time frame. Do we now apply for a 6 month entry permit? We not happy to leave NZ without Chinese entry permit. Can you advise us on what we should now do please?

Eric, there are still three months before you come to China, so it's too early for you to apply the entry permit now. However, you don't need to be upset, because you can also submit the application at the CVASC office in the UK, or you can do the application in other countries during your travel.
