About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Is the school required to supply a Release Letter to the teacher as they are leaving?

If the school doesn't supply this letter does it cause problems if the teacher wants to apply for another job after their previous contract has expired?

Ozteach, it is the school's duty to issue you a Release Letter. The Release Letter stamped by your present employer is needed for the application of a new work permit, so you have to get it if you want to continue working in China.
