What times to visit the mosque on Fridays for non-Muslim tourists?

I would like to visit the mosque on a Friday (the only day I am in Xi'an) but understand access will not be available during prayer hours.

Well, as far as I know, the opening hours are from 8:00 to 19:00 from Monday to Sunday. During this period of time, you can enter and visit. I'm not clear about the prayer hours. But no worry, only the prayer hall will be closed for visiting during the hours and you can till visit other part of the mosque. Enjoy your journey.

Normally Friday prayer shall start around noon and last around half past two. The main prayer hall shall be crowded and may be the surrounding too.it is the best time to visit and observe the faithful Muslims answering God call.
