About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

Does China Southern Airline provide free hotel?

My tickets are with China Southern Airline. I will arrive in Guangzhou (CAN) at 3:55 PM from Ho Chi Minh city. My connecting flight is at 8:15 am the next day to Xining (XNN) Do you know if China Southern provide free hotel/meal at GZ for overnight? Their website seems to say so but I'm not sure? If not, can I sleep at the airport? Thank you

Yes, they provide free hotels for the transit passengers. It is only free for one night stay, including a free breakfast. You can book the service in advance in the airlines official website, or you can apply for it in the transit counter upon arrival.

If you fail to make it, i'm afraid you cannot just sleep in the airport, there are transit hotels available, you can check in for your stay.

Hi I am also in your situation. I will be travelling via GZ to seoul next month. How about your stay in transit hotel. Whether one need visa to avail transit hotel faciltiy. I am from India. Please let me know

I called China Southern and they confirmed they would provide free hotel. I have Chinese visa so getting out of airport is not an issue. I believe China offers free 48 hour transit visa for transit passengers. In that case you would be able to use the airlines free hotel program too. You can call the airlines to make reservation in advance or just go to the transit counter when you arrive.
