we have been invited by an equipment manufacturer for a business tour on the 31st of March 2015. Is it too late to start the application process now?

Chipo, the process usually takes four working days. If you pay extra 30 dollars, you can get the entry permit on the next working day after you submit the application. If you additionally pay 20 dollars, you can get the entry permit within two or three working days. So it's not late to start the application process now.
