Can I bring a traditional British birthday cake for my daughter's 21st when we visit her in Beijing?

Lesley, does it have cream or cheese? If so, I am afraid that you may not be able to bring it into China.

The cake has dried fruit (currants, sultanas, raisins, cherries) butter, flour, sugar, spices (nutmeg, cinnamon)and eggs. We usually decorate it with icing made from icing sugar and water. Would this be acceptable?

you can easily take it. But put it at the bottom or any safe place of big bag, don't put in hand bag.
