Getting Visa for US citizen born in China

My father was born in Macau in 1940 and came to America as an immigrant in 1950's. He became a citizen in the 1990's and has a us passport. He has no birth certificate, passport or any other documentation regarding his birth in Macau. How can he get a tourist one to visit PRC without proof of his birth.

Mark, did you contact Chinese embassy or consulate in the USA? If not, I think you should contact the embassy or consulate to ask how to apply. They might be able to give you some suggestions.
