how to get zhujiajiao from the bund riverside hotel, Shanghai?

is safe if going to the ancient town without travel guide?

You are suggested to take subway line 10 at East Nanjing Road Station, and get off at Laoximen Station. Then transfer to line 8 to Dashijie Station, Exit 3.
After that, walk to Puan Road, East Yanan Road and take bus Huzhu Express Line to the ancient town directly.

Or take a taxi from where you are to Pu'an Road in 5-10min and then transfer to Huzhu Express Line to reach.

English signs are available in the subway stations and the scenic area, so it is fine to travel on your own without a tour guide. Don't worry. :-)
